67th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution

Dear Comrades, 

On the occasion of the 67th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, the New Communist Party of Yugoslavia extends its warmest revolutionary greetings to the Communist Party of Cuba, its Central Committee, and to the heroic Cuban people. 

The victory of the Cuban Revolution on January 1, 1959, led by Comrade Fidel Castro Ruz and the revolutionary forces he organized and inspired, stands as one of the most significant events in the history of the international communist and workers’ movement. Fidel Castro embodied the unity of revolutionary theory and practice, demonstrating through action that a small nation, firmly relying on its people and guided by Marxism-Leninism, can defeat imperialism and take its destiny into its own hands. 

Fidel’s historic role was not limited to the seizure of power, but extended to the consistent construction and defense of socialism under conditions of permanent external aggression. His emphasis on political consciousness, moral strength, social justice and revolutionary internationalism shaped the Cuban socialist project and provided a strategic compass for revolutionary movements worldwide. His legacy continues to guide the Cuban Revolution as a living process, firmly rooted in the masses and oriented toward the future. 

The Cuban Revolution is inseparably linked with the immortal legacy of Comrade Ernesto Che Guevara, whose life and struggle symbolize revolutionary consistency, selflessness and the universal character of the anti-imperialist struggle. Che’s example continues to inspire communists and progressive forces to combine revolutionary conviction with practical engagement in the struggles of the oppressed. 

Today, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba, headed by Comrade Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, Cuba continues to defend its socialist course in the face of intensified imperialist pressure, economic warfare and attempts at destabilization. The unity of the Party, the state and the people, built on the foundations laid by Fidel and the historic leadership of the Revolution, remains a decisive factor in safeguarding Cuba’s sovereignty and socialist achievements. 

For more than six decades, socialist Cuba has resisted the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by U.S. imperialism. Despite these conditions, Cuba has preserved and developed its achievements in education, healthcare, science, culture and international solidarity, once again demonstrating the humanist and progressive essence of socialism. 

The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia expresses its full solidarity with the Communist Party of Cuba and the Cuban people in their just struggle against the blockade and demands its immediate and unconditional lifting. 

We reaffirm our commitment to strengthening fraternal relations and cooperation between our Parties on the basis of Marxism-Leninism, proletarian internationalism and the common struggle against imperialism and capitalism. 

Please accept, dear comrades, our sincere wishes for strength, unity and continued success in advancing the socialist path of the Cuban Revolution.
