Statement on the ocassion of the 19th Congress of KKE
On behalf of the New Communist Party of Yugoslavia I would like to express warmest greetings to the delegates of the 19th Congress of the Communist Party of Greece.
Your experience in recent struggles, fighting oppression of the capitalist state and police brutality represents, also, an inspiration for the Serbian movement. We are aware of the important role played by the KKE in organizing resistance against current attepmts for the saving of capitalist barbarism. Today working class movement needs communist party that is able to fight and propose alternative economic system, and we are sure that KKE is such a party.
The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia pay great importance to the 19th Congress of the KKE. Now the international workers’ movement is facing an important, hard, but also responsible moment. Capitalism is in deep crisis. This situation opens new perspectives for the communist and workers’ parties. The revolutionary alternative of changing capitalism is getting more and more actual. We are convinced that the communist parties should demonstrate the revolutionary option to entire popular strata.
New Communist Party of Yugoslavia deeply respects the internationalist traditions of KKE. Internationalism is a very powerful weapon on which we all commonly realy. The Greek communists have done a lot for maintaining the spirit of proletarian internationalism. We support the efforts of KKE to strengthen the unity of communist parties for creation of a new and more effective form of their international cooperation.
The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia continues its fight against capitalism. We are struggling under very difficult circumstances but we never give up our Marxist-Leninist conviction, our communist ideas.
Dear comrades, We believe that conclusions of your Congress will help us to tighten our cooperation and conduct common struggle against capitalism, struggle for socialism and communism.
It is the consistent stand of the NKPJ to develop the strong relations with the KKE. Both parties stand together in the common front against imperialism for socialism/communism.
