Statement by the New Communist Party of Yugoslavia

New Communist Party of Yugoslavia (NKPJ) and The League of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia (SKOJ) are expressing its condolences and solidarity with the family of Comandante Hugo Chávez, with the people and government of Venezuela.
Comandante Chávez will be always remembered by the peoples of world as a genuine and dynamic leader. He was one of the greatest fighters against capitalism, U.S. imperialism, globalization, neo-colonialism and convinced supporters of social justice. History will remember him as the man who had the courage to preserve the peoples dignity.
Hugo Chávez's death, is a great loss not only for people of Venezuela, but also for peoples of Latin America and for all progressive forces all around the world.
Like Simon Bolivar, Che Guevara and Castro, Hugo Chavez went through the most difficult trials and battles for the dignity of man. His victories has inspired many, not only in Venezuela but in every part of the globe where there are oppressed and exploited. Chavez is no longer physically with us, but his ideas continue to live in every person who is seeking freedom and justice.
President Chávez will remain in the collective consciousness of the workers and the peoples of the world, as an example of revolutionary courage and commitment. This example will inspire us in our own struggles for the unity of the workers and the peoples of the world, towards socialism.
We honor the memory of Hugo Chávez through our support to all these popular and anti-imperialistic manifestations, the continuous struggle of the people of Venezuela, Latin America and the Caribbean on the path towards the complete victory of the working class.
We dip our banners in homage to a great anti-imperialist and internationalist, but we raise them again so that the struggle against imperialism and for socialism continues with renewed vigor.
ETERNAL GLORY TO YOU DEAR COMRADE HUGO CHAVEZ!

PERSONAL MESSAGE
Dear Friends,
There are no words to describe the deep pain it has caused me to learn about the death of President Hugo Chavez.
I would like to express my deepest condolences and solidarity to the family of Hugo Chavez, the government, the parliament and the people of Venezuela.
Today is a tragic day for Venezuela, for all the people of this country and for all those who with President Chavez shared the vision of a new and more humane world. Continuing in his steps in realizing that vision of a new world, we will honor the man who did not spare himself for the good of all mankind.
President Chavez was a humanist, a passionate and dedicated person, an idealist who has improved his country, and was an inspiration to all humiliated, oppressed and exploited around the world.
It still resonates in me, his voice when he spoke to tens of thousands of young people in the 16th World Festival of Youth and Students in 2005 in Caracas, where I had the opportunity to see not only Chavez, but also the grandiose work he started - a new Venezuela that is born on the continent which during 500 years suffered the greatest humiliation, colonialism and poverty. President Chavez breathed into us a new hope and a fighting spirit, calling on us to persist in the struggle for a world worthy of man.
GLORY TO YOU, EL COMANDANTE CHAVEZ!
HASTA LA VICTORIA SIEMPRE!
